The Taiwan Stock Exchange has introduced 'Power Up Plan 2.0,' allowing large-cap firms to disclose forward-looking data and enhancing IR services to attract global investors.
What Happened
Strategic Policy Alignment: Drawing inspiration from successful corporate governance reforms in Japan and South Korea, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) is advancing its corporate value enhancement initiative. As Taiwan's stock market climbs to the world's fifth-largest by market capitalization, the focus has shifted toward helping companies articulate long-term growth strategies to global institutional investors.
Forward-Looking Disclosure: The TWSE is relaxing disclosure rules for 29 high-performing, large-cap companies, allowing them to share up to three years of predictive financial information. This measure is designed to help top-tier firms communicate their investment plans and capital allocation strategies more effectively, thereby bridging the gap between corporate vision and market expectations.
Centralized Information Hub: A new dedicated portal has been launched to serve as a one-stop shop for corporate value data, integrating disclosure documents, performance indicators, and analytical tools. This platform enables investors to perform comparative analysis across industries, facilitating more informed decision-making and fostering a more transparent investment ecosystem.
Enhanced Investor Relations: The initiative emphasizes strengthening the connection between companies and the investment community through improved IR matchmaking and international roadshows. By moving beyond static reporting toward active engagement, the TWSE aims to ensure that Taiwan's high-quality enterprises are not only recognized for their performance but also understood for their long-term potential.
