The Taiwan Stock Exchange has introduced the 'Power Up Plan 2.0,' enabling 29 top-tier listed companies to voluntarily release three-year financial forecasts to boost market transparency.
What Happened
Policy Upgrade Overview: The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) has officially launched the 'Power Up Plan 2.0,' introducing four major enhancements to its corporate disclosure framework. The new policy allows select high-performing listed companies to voluntarily disclose three-year financial forecasts, providing institutional investors with better visibility into long-term corporate performance.
Eligibility and Requirements: A total of 29 companies, including industry leaders like TSMC and MediaTek, currently qualify based on market capitalization and corporate governance ratings. While companies with capital exceeding NT$10 billion face no time restrictions, others are limited to a three-year forecast window; all participants must provide detailed assumptions and risk disclaimers to ensure data integrity.
Digital Integration: To streamline access to corporate data, the TWSE plans to launch a centralized 'Corporate Value Information Website.' This portal will serve as a one-stop shop for investors to access disclosure plans, key performance indicators, and comparative analysis tools, thereby facilitating more effective investor relations.
Market Impact and Future Outlook: TWSE President Lih-Ching Lee stated that the exchange aims to expand the program gradually, with the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) also considering similar measures for over-the-counter firms. By fostering greater transparency, the TWSE seeks to enhance the international competitiveness of the Taiwan stock market and attract more long-term capital.
