Chicony Power reported August revenue of NT$2.469 billion, down 2.5% monthly, as AI server and satellite power segments show strong growth potential.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Chicony Power reported August consolidated revenue of NT$2.469 billion, a 2.5% decline from the previous month, with year-to-date revenue totaling NT$21.228 billion, down 9.9% year-on-year. The company noted that NB power shipments were hampered this quarter by severe memory shortages at the client end.
Server Outlook: Despite weakness in the NB segment, AI server power revenue continues to climb as long-term customer projects reach fruition. Several new AI and traditional server power products are currently in the sampling and testing phases, which are expected to drive future growth.
Satellite Expansion: Demand for satellite communication power remains robust, particularly for high-performance mobile antenna power used in commercial, automotive, and airborne applications. The company has secured a primary supplier role for next-generation home receiver power, with mass production slated for Q4, promising exponential growth over Q3 levels.
Strategic Focus: The company is actively securing materials to meet strong shipment demand while deepening collaborations with strategic partners. By integrating technical validation and client resources, Chicony aims to build a comprehensive ecosystem to support its server and satellite power business.
