FamilyMart is supporting the Ministry of Transportation's Road Safety Month by distributing specialized traffic safety educational kits to elementary schools.
What Happened
Public Welfare Initiative: On the first day of the school semester, FamilyMart announced its participation in the 115th Road Safety Month. Leveraging its network of over 4,500 stores, the company is promoting road safety awareness with a focus on motorcycle safety and pedestrian right-of-way.
Educational Outreach: In collaboration with the John Tung Foundation, FamilyMart has launched a new traffic safety curriculum titled "Where are the Traffic Hazards? Detective Training Class." The kits are available for elementary schools nationwide to help students identify and navigate road risks.
Long-term Commitment: Since 2020, FamilyMart and the foundation have partnered on the "Little Yellow Hat" traffic safety program. Over the past six years, the initiative has trained numerous instructors and served more than 90,000 children, demonstrating a sustained commitment to social responsibility.
Awareness Campaign: Beyond school-based education, FamilyMart is utilizing its in-store digital signage to broadcast road safety messages. These efforts aim to encourage drivers to yield to pedestrians at intersections, integrating safety awareness into the daily lives of local communities.
