Musinsa reported record-breaking H1 revenue driven by offline store expansion and global growth, despite a slight dip in operating profit due to rising costs.
What Happened
H1 Performance: Musinsa achieved record-breaking H1 revenue of 821.7 billion KRW, marking a 22.5% increase year-on-year. However, operating profit fell by 11.2% to 52.3 billion KRW, primarily due to rising material costs and increased selling and administrative expenses.
Offline Growth: The company aggressively expanded its physical footprint, opening 12 new stores in Q2 alone. Musinsa Standard stores saw quarterly visitors exceed 10 million, with a significant surge in traffic from foreign tourists, highlighting the success of their offline strategy.
Global Expansion: International operations served as a key growth driver, with transaction volume across 13 global regions jumping over 143% compared to the previous year. Export revenue for the first half grew more than ninefold, underscoring the brand's successful entry into overseas markets.
Future Outlook: Musinsa plans to continue its momentum in the second half by launching dedicated beauty stores in Seoul and Jeju, alongside new retail locations in Osaka and Shenzhen. The company remains committed to bridging the gap between online and offline shopping to bolster its global fashion platform presence.
