Episil-Precision (3016) shares surged to the daily limit after reporting a 57.79% year-on-year revenue increase, bolstered by AI demand and rising wafer prices.
What Happened
Strong Revenue Growth: Episil-Precision (3016) reported August revenue of NT$506 million, marking a 5.11% monthly increase and a 57.79% year-on-year jump. The company's cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year reflects a robust 34.73% growth compared to the same period last year.
Market Price Hikes: The semiconductor industry is experiencing its first across-the-board price increase in over three years, with silicon wafer prices rising by at least 10%. As a key supplier, Episil-Precision is benefiting from increased demand for 8-inch wafers and improved order visibility.
Strategic AI Positioning: The company has successfully integrated its SiC and GaN products into the supply chains of major manufacturers. With the adoption of 800V HVDC power architectures in AI servers, the demand for silicon carbide epitaxial materials is expected to accelerate significantly.
Future Outlook: Chairman Hsu Chien-hua noted that new silicon photonics capacity is coming online, with revenue in this segment projected to grow exponentially by 2027. Strong fundamental performance has driven the stock to a new one-month high, closing at the daily limit of NT$110.
