Giantplus Technology has completed its board election and reported a net profit of NT$260 million for the first half of the year, marking a turnaround from previous losses.
What Happened
Board Restructuring: Giantplus Technology held an extraordinary shareholders' meeting on the 24th to complete the election of seven new directors. The newly formed board immediately convened to approve the second-quarter financial results, resolving previous reporting delays caused by changes in ownership and management.
First-Half Performance: The company reported first-half consolidated revenue of NT$4.227 billion, a slight year-on-year decline of 1.2%. However, gross margin improved by 2.97 percentage points to 9.28%, leading to a net profit of NT$260 million and reversing the NT$250 million loss recorded in the same period last year.
Second-Quarter Results: Second-quarter revenue reached NT$2.1 billion, down 1.3% sequentially and 5.9% year-on-year. Despite the revenue dip, improved operational efficiency pushed the gross margin to 9.91%, resulting in a quarterly net profit of NT$70.76 million, or NT$0.16 per share.
Operational Outlook: With the board election finalized, the company has restored its corporate governance and regulatory compliance. The focus remains on maintaining the improved gross margin trajectory as the firm stabilizes its operations following the recent management transition.
