Hanwha Asset Management has introduced a new target-return fund investing in AI infrastructure and bottleneck-solving sectors, targeting a 7% return.
What Happened
Fund Overview: Hanwha Asset Management has launched the 'Hanwha Dynamic AI Bottleneck Resolution EMP Target Return Fund' to capitalize on the rapid growth of the AI ecosystem. The fund focuses on companies and sectors that address critical bottlenecks arising from the expansion of artificial intelligence technology.
Investment Strategy: The fund allocates assets equally between thematic ETFs related to AI and short-term bond ETFs. It targets key sectors such as semiconductors, AI power infrastructure, network/optical communications, and cybersecurity using a bottom-up analysis approach.
Return Objective: The fund aims for a target return of 7%, at which point it shifts its portfolio toward short-term bond ETFs to minimize volatility. This active management style, supported by frequent rebalancing, is designed to protect gains once the target is met.
Subscription Details: This is a closed-end fund available for subscription until the 15th through various financial institutions including KB Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, and KakaoBank. The official launch date for the fund is set for the 16th.
