Optical communication firm LuxNet reported strong July results with a net profit of NT$131 million, driven by expanded foundry operations and steady growth in high-speed module shipments.

What Happened

July Financial Performance: LuxNet announced its unaudited financial results for July, reporting a consolidated revenue of NT$509 million, a 31.2% year-on-year increase. Net profit after tax reached NT$131 million, marking a 65.8% rise compared to the same period last year, with earnings per share at NT$0.92.

Growth Drivers: The company's monthly profit has already reached 70% of its total Q2 profit of NT$184 million. Analysts attribute this momentum to the expansion of CW Laser epitaxial foundry services and strong order intake, which have significantly boosted operational performance.

Product Outlook: LuxNet continues to see stable growth in shipments of 400G ZR modules and is actively preparing to enter the 800G ZR module market. These high-end product lines are expected to contribute increasingly to revenue growth throughout the second half of the year.

Market Activity: LuxNet's stock price remains near its recent highs, closing down 0.50% at NT$598 on the 26th. Institutional investors net sold 1,854 shares, indicating a slight shift in market sentiment and profit-taking activity.
