Long Chen Paper has turned a profit for the first ten months of the year and anticipates monthly operational growth in Q4 driven by holiday demand.
What Happened
Operational Overview: Long Chen Paper announced October revenue of NT$4.536 billion, up 10.3% year-on-year, with cumulative revenue for the first ten months reaching NT$42.458 billion. While short-term market conservatism pressured margins in October, the company's overall profit structure has significantly improved.
Return to Profitability: The company recorded a pre-tax profit of NT$606 million for the first ten months, a major turnaround from the loss of NT$626 million in the same period last year. This improvement reflects the success of strategic resource allocation and operational management adjustments.
Market Demand Drivers: Resilient production activity among large enterprises in China, combined with strong express delivery and export data, provides a solid foundation for the industrial paper market. Capacity management by major producers is helping to balance supply and demand.
Future Outlook: With the onset of major shopping festivals and year-end holiday stocking, downstream demand is expected to increase. Analysts project that Long Chen's operations will see month-over-month growth in the fourth quarter, with further improvements in profitability expected.
