Uni-President and its subsidiary President Chain Store Store saw robust August revenue growth, driven by summer demand and holiday shopping surges.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Uni-President reported an August consolidated revenue of NT$63.101 billion, a 3.79% year-on-year increase, while President Chain Store Store reached NT$31.527 billion, up 4.82% and hitting a new record for the period. For the first eight months of the year, both companies maintained steady growth with year-on-year increases of 4.05% and 5.46%, respectively.
Growth Drivers: The performance was fueled by strong demand for summer beverages and light meals, alongside significant holiday-related spending during the Ghost Festival, Father's Day, and the Qixi Festival. President Chain Store Store successfully leveraged its physical store network and online pre-order platforms to boost sales across fresh food, coffee, and tea categories.
Subsidiary Contributions: Key investments, including 7-ELEVEN Philippines, Cosmed, Starbucks, and Uni-President System, contributed significantly to the overall revenue growth. Furthermore, 7-ELEVEN continued to differentiate its product offerings by introducing Southeast Asian-inspired meals and high-protein food options to attract health-conscious consumers.
Outlook: Looking ahead to September, the company plans to capitalize on Mid-Autumn Festival gifting, the back-to-school season, and seasonal shifts in consumer demand. By integrating new product launches and leveraging its membership ecosystem, the firm aims to sustain its growth momentum throughout the coming months.
