ScinoPharm reported a 70% year-over-year increase in net profit for the first nine months, driven by investment gains, and anticipates Q4 revenue growth from its new production capacity.

What Happened

Financial Results: ScinoPharm reported Q3 revenue of NT$319 million, an 11% sequential increase, but posted a net loss of NT$98.85 million due to financial valuation losses. Despite the quarterly loss, the company's net profit for the first three quarters reached NT$763 million, a 70.1% increase year-over-year, with EPS of NT$2.3.

Non-Operating Gains: While core operating revenue and margins declined during the first nine months, the company achieved strong bottom-line growth. Management attributed this performance to successful diversified investment strategies, which significantly bolstered overall profitability.

Capacity Expansion: The new Ertapenem production line, which received GMP certification in June, has doubled the company's capacity. ScinoPharm is leveraging this to capture international market share as global supply chains undergo structural shifts and demand for stable drug supplies increases.

Outlook: The company expects Q4 revenue to grow as new capacity scales up to meet global demand. ScinoPharm remains focused on expanding its antibiotic product footprint in international hospital systems and diversifying its business through its healthcare subsidiary.
