LuxNet reported a record-breaking September revenue of NT$121 million, marking a 140.3% year-over-year increase driven by robust demand for laser components in AI and data centers.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: LuxNet announced its September revenue reached NT$121 million, representing an 11.5% monthly increase and a 140.3% year-over-year surge, setting a new historical record. The cumulative revenue for the first nine months of the year stands at NT$705 million, reflecting a 38.1% growth compared to the same period last year.
Industry Outlook: Analysts highlight that the upward trend in the optical communication industry is solid, with laser components facing the most significant supply-demand gap. By strategically positioning itself in AI, data centers, and silicon photonics, LuxNet has successfully entered the laser back-end foundry business, positioning the company for potential explosive growth.
Profitability Prospects: As the proportion of foundry revenue continues to rise, LuxNet's gross margin recovered to nearly 20% in the second quarter. The company is actively working toward achieving quarterly profitability and expects the foundry business to remain a key driver for margin expansion.
Capital Expenditure: To meet growing customer demand, LuxNet plans to increase its capital expenditure this year. These investments are focused on upgrading equipment, expanding capacity, and enhancing automation to improve overall production efficiency.
