Battery module manufacturers AES-KY and Sinyi reported record-high October revenues, fueled by surging demand for data center backup battery units (BBU).
What Happened
Record Revenue: Battery module manufacturers AES-KY and Sinyi both achieved record-high monthly revenues in October, driven by robust demand for data center backup battery units (BBU). AES-KY reported NT$1.781 billion, while Sinyi reached NT$540 million.
AES-KY Growth: AES-KY's revenue for the first ten months of the year grew 26% year-on-year, with analysts projecting earnings per share to exceed NT$50 for the full year. The company plans to onboard new clients by 2027 and deepen partnerships with power supply manufacturers to expand its BBU project footprint.
Sinyi's Surge: Sinyi saw a 106.7% year-on-year revenue increase in October, with cumulative ten-month revenue up nearly 98%. The company attributes this growth to the sustained rise in demand within the data center market.
Industry Outlook: As global data center construction continues, BBUs remain critical infrastructure components with high demand visibility. Both companies are well-positioned to benefit from the ongoing AI infrastructure wave due to their technical expertise and strategic client relationships.
