The Korea Exchange is overhauling its technical evaluation system for KOSDAQ listings, holding public hearings to gather industry feedback.
What Happened
System Reform: The KOSDAQ Market Division of the Korea Exchange has been working on improving the technical evaluation system for special technology-based IPOs since March. The initiative aims to enhance the professionalism and quality of evaluations to better support innovative companies.
Public Hearing: A public hearing was held at the KRX headquarters in Yeouido, attended by approximately 60 representatives from venture firms, venture capital firms, and evaluation agencies. Participants discussed proposed changes and provided feedback on the current operational framework.
Workshop Activities: Alongside the hearing, a workshop was conducted to share best practices among evaluation agencies and provide insights into emerging technologies. This collaborative effort is intended to standardize evaluation quality across the industry.
Next Steps: The Korea Exchange plans to finalize the reform measures within this year after incorporating the feedback collected from industry stakeholders. The updated system is expected to streamline the listing process for technology-focused enterprises.
