The Taipei Exchange is calling for investor composure following recent market declines, highlighting robust revenue growth and active share buyback programs among listed firms.
What Happened
Market Volatility: Global market instability has significantly impacted the TPEx index, which saw a 6.41% drop on November 5th, bringing the weekly decline to 13.18%. The exchange emphasizes that short-term price fluctuations are inevitable and urges investors to maintain a long-term perspective.
Solid Fundamentals: Data shows that the cumulative revenue of all TPEx-listed companies for the first nine months of the year has grown compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, 68.3% of companies have already declared cash dividends for 2025, with over one-third offering more than NT$2 per share.
Corporate Support: To bolster investor confidence, 70 listed companies have initiated share buyback programs, while 484 firms have held investor conferences to provide transparency on their operational status. These proactive measures underscore the resilience and commitment of the listed companies to their shareholders.
Regulatory Guidance: The TPEx advises investors to assess risks carefully and base their decisions on fundamental analysis rather than panic. The exchange remains committed to monitoring global economic developments and ensuring full corporate disclosure to maintain market integrity.
