Platform Launch: The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) announced that the 'Taiwan Stock Dashboard' will go live tomorrow, focusing on three key areas: margin trading, default statistics, and listed company revenue. The platform uses intuitive visual charts to help investors track market trends and access historical data more easily.
Enhanced Transparency: The dashboard will disclose previously unavailable data, including margin maintenance ratios, the number of margin calls, and total market defaults. By providing these metrics alongside risk warnings, the FSC aims to foster more rational investment decisions and improve risk management awareness among the public.
Cross-Industry Integration: To address concerns regarding excessive leverage, the FSC plans to integrate margin loan data between brokerages and banks by the end of October. Through a dual-platform connection between the Joint Credit Information Center and the TWSE, financial institutions will be able to view a client's total borrowing status with their consent.
