Weak Monthly Earnings: Source Photonics reported a net profit of NT$6 million for July 2026, marking an 81% year-over-year decline with EPS of NT$0.06. This follows a stronger second quarter where the company achieved a turnaround to profitability with an EPS of NT$0.93.
Strategic Product Focus: The company is pivoting its operations toward OIN product lines, specifically targeting 800G and 1.6T fiber optic kits and high-density distribution boxes for AI data centers. Small-scale production is slated for the third quarter, with plans to scale to tens of thousands of units per month by early next year.
Capacity Expansion: To meet robust demand, Source Photonics is increasing capital expenditure this year, with plans to expand its Philippine facility's capacity by two to three times. Current efforts are focused on immediate scaling, with larger-scale production expected by 2028.
Future Outlook: Management is prioritizing production efficiency and capacity alignment to fulfill orders through next year. The company aims to solidify its position in the AI infrastructure market through these targeted investments.
