Powertech Technology achieved its highest September revenue on record, driven by robust demand for AI servers and high-end memory packaging solutions.
What Happened
Financial Performance: Powertech Technology reported a September consolidated revenue of NT$8.51 billion, marking the highest figure for the month in the company's history. Third-quarter revenue reached a record high of NT$25.33 billion, with year-to-date revenue showing a 30.3% increase compared to the previous year.
AI Packaging Strategy: Chairman Tsai Tu-kung announced that the company's proprietary PiFO panel-level packaging (FOPLP) technology has been adopted by major clients like Broadcom and AMD. The company expects 2027 to be a breakout year for its AI packaging business, with the Hsinchu advanced packaging facility serving as the primary production hub.
Market Demand: The surge in AI server infrastructure has significantly boosted demand for HBM, enterprise SSDs, and high-end memory packaging. With DRAM and NAND markets remaining tight, Powertech is benefiting from both increased volume and favorable pricing trends in its logic and memory packaging segments.
Full-Year Outlook: Management expects fourth-quarter revenue to exceed the third quarter, positioning the company to potentially surpass its 2022 annual revenue record of NT$83.9 billion. Continued capacity expansion and the integration of new technologies are expected to sustain long-term growth.
