Taiwanese gaming leader IGS reported a record-breaking July revenue of NT$2.23 billion, driven by robust expansion in its overseas game licensing business.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: IGS announced its July revenue reached NT$2.23 billion, marking a 2.9% monthly increase and a 25.9% year-over-year growth, setting a new all-time monthly high. Cumulative revenue for the first seven months of the year hit NT$14.91 billion, a 17.1% increase, also setting a record for the same period.
Overseas Expansion: The company is aggressively expanding its global footprint, having secured licenses in South Africa following its entry into the UK. Operations in the US have expanded beyond the initial three states, while Southeast Asian markets remain stable, positioning international licensing as a primary growth driver.
Profitability: With a gross margin reaching 98% last year, IGS expects further margin expansion as the share of high-margin licensing revenue grows. Since licensing is a high-profit business model, it is expected to significantly boost the company's bottom line.
Future Outlook: The company plans to leverage its European market entries, including Malta, Sweden, and Greece, to sustain long-term growth. Management remains optimistic that the licensing-led strategy will continue to drive profitability and strengthen the company's competitive edge.
