FamilyMart Catering plans to expand its portfolio with a new noodle brand in Q4, targeting steady growth through store expansion and operational efficiency.
What Happened
New Brand Strategy: FamilyMart Catering announced plans to launch a new noodle-focused brand in the fourth quarter, bringing its total brand count to four. The company's long-term strategy focuses on maintaining a portfolio of no more than five brands, ensuring that each can be scaled effectively through standardized chain operations.
Revenue Drivers: Ootoya remains the group's primary revenue driver, accounting for 77.5% of total revenue, while the IKIGAI Yakiniku brand is gaining significant traction due to its high per-store productivity. Future growth will be driven by increasing same-store sales, expanding the store count, diversifying the brand portfolio, and developing new sales channels.
Expansion Plans: The company opened three new stores in the first half of the year and plans to add two more Ootoya locations in the second half. FamilyMart Catering aims to maintain a steady expansion pace of 8 to 10 new stores annually, with same-store sales growth remaining a key contributor to overall profitability.
Financial Performance: FamilyMart Catering reported H1 revenue of NT$1.468 billion, a 12.5% increase year-on-year, with net profit rising 34.3% to NT$106 million. The earnings per share reached NT$4.15, significantly outperforming the NT$3.09 reported in the same period last year, reflecting strong operational efficiency.
