Delta Electronics and Kuan-Yuan Steel have officially launched an 80MW energy storage facility in Tainan, aimed at enhancing grid stability and supporting Taiwan's energy transition.

What Happened

Project Launch: Delta Electronics and Kuan-Yuan Steel have successfully connected an 80MW energy storage facility to the grid in Tainan's Madou Industrial Park. The site is designed to participate in Taipower's energy trading platform, providing essential frequency regulation and energy shifting services.

Technical Integration: The facility utilizes Delta's 3.4MW liquid-cooled power conditioning systems, M-series battery storage, and the DeltaGrid energy management platform. A 24-hour monitoring center ensures the long-term safety and operational stability of the 305MWh capacity system.

Strategic Energy Goals: Delta’s leadership highlighted the project as a key initiative to address rising electricity demand and the increasing share of renewable energy in Taiwan. Kuan-Yuan Steel noted that the partnership strengthens their corporate green competitiveness while contributing to the national energy transition.

Microgrid Expansion: Delta continues to advance its microgrid solutions by integrating solid-state transformers and fuel cells. These modular systems are designed to provide high-energy-consuming industries with enhanced power resilience and flexible, comprehensive energy management.
