CHPT reports high visibility for orders through 2027 driven by AI and HPC demand, with plans to significantly expand production capacity for probe cards.
What Happened
Production Expansion: CHPT is aggressively expanding its production capacity to meet the surging demand for AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications. The company doubled its capacity by the end of August and plans a further 50% increase by March next year to support long-term order growth.
Order Visibility: Management notes that client engagement has shifted from single-year contracts to long-term partnerships spanning two to three years. With order visibility extending through 2027, the company expects significant revenue growth in its probe card segment as major projects move into mass production.
Comprehensive Testing Solutions: To address the increasing complexity of AI chip testing, CHPT is expanding its product portfolio beyond basic interfaces. The company now provides a full suite of solutions, including wafer testing, load boards, and system-level testing (SLT), to capture more value from each client project.
Strategic Shift in AI Revenue: While GPUs currently drive the majority of AI and HPC revenue, CHPT is seeing rapid growth in ASIC-related projects from cloud service providers. As these custom chips move toward mass production next year, the company anticipates that ASIC revenue will eventually surpass that of GPUs.
