Global home decor casting manufacturer Tai-King KY saw its H1 net profit jump 335% year-over-year, driven by its new plumbing hardware business.

H1 Profit Growth: Tai-King KY reported H1 consolidated revenue of NT$1.35 billion, a 90.4% increase year-over-year, with net profit reaching NT$248 million, up 335%. The H1 EPS of NT$6.46 has already matched the company's total profit for the previous year, highlighting the success of its new business initiatives.
Plumbing Hardware Expansion: Traditionally focused on home decor components, the company expanded into plumbing hardware contract manufacturing after completing three new production lines late last year. The addition of new products and clients has been a primary driver of revenue growth throughout the current year.
Strategic Partnership: Following the recent board election, Ouyang Hsuan, Chairman of Globe Union Industrial, joined Tai-King's board. This move signals a deeper strategic partnership in plumbing hardware manufacturing, allowing both companies to leverage synergies in the sanitary ware market.
Future Outlook: Despite the sluggish recovery in the North American real estate market, Tai-King has seen its gross margins improve quarterly due to an optimized product mix and increased scale.
