OptoTech posted a record-breaking October revenue of NT$51.5 million, up 71.3% year-over-year, while highlighting its advanced NightJar wafer-level inspection system at global industry forums.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: OptoTech reported a record-breaking consolidated revenue of approximately NT$51.5 million for October 2026, marking a 71.33% year-over-year increase. The company has maintained monthly revenue above NT$50 million for two consecutive months, with cumulative revenue for the first ten months reaching NT$372 million, reflecting a 44.63% growth compared to the previous year.
Technological Innovation: CTO and General Manager Liao Hua-hsien presented the NightJar system at international forums, including PIC Summit Europe and SWTest Asia. The system utilizes hyperspectral imaging to transform optical loss data into spatial, wavelength, and power-specific images, allowing for precise identification of defects in waveguides and coupling structures.
Competitive Edge: The NightJar system offers a 60-fold increase in speed compared to traditional methods, enabling wafer-level screening and the creation of "optical fingerprints" for yield management. By providing actionable data for risk classification, the technology helps manufacturers optimize production decisions and reduce unnecessary packaging costs.
Future Outlook: The company has successfully integrated the NightJar system with automated probe stations for customer verification. Meanwhile, the high-throughput NightJar-H model is undergoing high-volume manufacturing (HVM) validation, with updates expected by the end of the fourth quarter as the firm pushes toward data-driven smart manufacturing.
