Makalot Industrial reported a positive year-to-date revenue growth through September, as the apparel manufacturer aims for full-year expansion.
What Happened
Revenue Overview: Apparel giant Makalot Industrial reported September revenue of NT$2.93 billion, a 24.05% increase compared to the same period last year, despite a 17.5% decline from August. The cumulative revenue for the first nine months reached NT$26.547 billion, marking a 0.17% year-over-year growth and turning positive for the first time this year.
Base Effect: The company faced negative year-over-year cumulative growth for the first eight months of 2024, largely due to a high operational base set before the announcement of tariffs in April of last year. The September results finally allowed the company to overcome these comparative hurdles.
Order Outlook: Makalot spokesperson Lin Heng-yu stated that current order volumes are in line with expectations. The company remains committed to its efforts to ensure that total annual revenue achieves positive growth by the end of the year.
Market Strategy: As a leader in apparel manufacturing, Makalot continues to optimize its product mix and client structure to navigate market volatility. With revenue momentum stabilizing, the market remains focused on the company's profitability during the upcoming peak season.
