Remote server management chip maker Aspeed reported record-breaking third-quarter results, with strong demand driving future order visibility and capacity expansion.
What Happened
Financial Performance: Aspeed reported a record-breaking third quarter with revenue reaching NT$4.817 billion and net profit attributable to the parent company hitting NT$2.001 billion. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at NT$48.13, reflecting robust demand in the server chip market despite a slight contraction in gross margin to 69.03%.
Growth Momentum: Cumulative revenue for the first nine months reached NT$11.804 billion, with EPS totaling NT$126.41. Driven by strong market demand and price adjustments, October revenue exceeded the NT$2 billion milestone, with management projecting fourth-quarter revenue to reach between NT$6.6 billion and NT$6.8 billion.
Future Outlook: The company has already secured orders for next year that exceed its total revenue for the current year, signaling significant growth in shipment volumes. Management remains highly optimistic about the sustained demand for its server management solutions.
Capacity Strategy: To ensure a stable supply chain and support future growth, Aspeed signed a two-year procurement agreement with ASE Technology in September. This strategic move is designed to secure necessary production capacity to meet the anticipated surge in customer orders.
