System Launch: The US-Taiwan Patent Priority Document Exchange (PDX) service officially launched on September 4, marking a new milestone in bilateral patent cooperation. The system is designed to streamline the international patent application process and improve examination efficiency.
Application Impact: With approximately 20,000 Taiwanese applications filed in the US and 7,000 US applications filed in Taiwan annually, the new system will benefit over 27,000 cases. Applicants can now bypass the submission of physical documents, significantly reducing time and administrative costs.
