The Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau's military appreciation campaign, supported by 7-Eleven and FamilyMart, saw a 14% increase in usage this year.
What Happened
Campaign Success: The Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau (TANFB) launched a military appreciation campaign from August 28 to September 10 to honor Armed Forces Day. The initiative saw 1,186 participants, a 14% increase compared to the previous year, highlighting strong engagement from military personnel.
Industry Participation: Four major operators, including Nan Ren Hu, Hsin Tung Yang, Uni-President (7-Eleven), and FamilyMart, participated in the campaign. Military personnel and veterans were offered a 10% discount at designated counters across 15 service areas.
Positive Feedback: Military members expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that the discounts provided a sense of recognition and warmth during their travels. The campaign successfully boosted the friendly image of highway service areas while acknowledging the hard work of the armed forces.
Long-term Commitment: The TANFB emphasized that the armed forces are a cornerstone of national stability. By partnering with private operators, the bureau aims to create a more welcoming environment for service members and plans to continue such initiatives in the future.
