CPDC subsidiary Ding Yue Development is working to resolve the seizure of its Jinghua Plaza land and plans to submit a revised building permit report by late September.
What Happened
Ongoing Land Seizure: The land owned by Ding Yue Development, a subsidiary of CPDC, remains under seizure by the Taipei District Court. Ding Yue has filed a fourth appeal, which is currently awaiting review and a ruling by the Taiwan High Court.
Permit Revision Efforts: Following the Taipei City Government's decision to revoke a 20% floor area ratio bonus, Ding Yue has requested an extension for its building permit design changes. The company intends to submit a revised design report for review by the end of September to align with regulatory requirements.
Financial Obligations: As of the end of August, the outstanding balance on Ding Yue’s syndicated loan with banks stood at 5.88 billion TWD. CPDC management stated that they are actively engaging with the banking consortium to discuss repayment strategies.
H1 Financial Results: CPDC reported H1 2026 revenue of 8 billion TWD, a 30% decline year-over-year, with a net loss of 1.986 billion TWD. The loss was primarily driven by a non-cash accounting adjustment related to the equity stake in BES Engineering, which does not impact daily operating cash flow.
