Private equity firm VIG Partners has strengthened its leadership team by appointing new executives to enhance its investment and portfolio management.

Leadership Expansion: VIG Partners has announced a strategic organizational restructuring, bringing in new senior leadership to optimize its investment and portfolio management processes. The firm aims to shift toward a team-based operational model to drive better performance across its portfolio companies.
New Executive Profiles: The firm appointed Yoo Shin-hyuk, formerly of BCG, to oversee new investments and portfolio management, and Kang Sung-wook, a veteran with 40 years of experience at GE and Cisco, to lead international expansion and cross-border M&A efforts. Both executives bring extensive global expertise to the firm's investment team.
Operational Strategy: By expanding the roles of existing senior staff and adding mid-level talent, VIG is focusing on enhancing its post-investment value creation capabilities. The firm is currently deploying its fifth fund, with recent investments in aerospace parts manufacturer Yulgok nearing completion.
Future Outlook: VIG Partners expects to reach approximately 80% deployment of its current fund soon and is preparing to launch a new fund thereafter. Since its inception in 2005, the firm has managed over 5.5 trillion won across 30 different portfolio companies.
