Strong Summer Performance: The Taiwanese restaurant sector experienced a significant boost in August, fueled by summer holiday traffic and Father's Day dining demand. Major operators, including Dofu and FamilyMart Restaurant, reported record-high monthly revenues, highlighting robust consumer spending.
Dofu's Growth Trajectory: Dofu achieved a milestone in August with revenue reaching NT$405 million, an 8.79% year-on-year increase, marking the first time the company has crossed the NT$400 million threshold. Its cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year grew by 10.38%.
Kura Sushi's Success: Asia Kura Sushi reported August revenue of NT$579 million, up 6.98% from the previous year, supported by successful IP collaboration events and increased customer traffic. In recognition of these results, the company announced a special bonus of NT$8 million for its full-time staff.
Industry-Wide Momentum: Other major players like Hi-Lai Foods saw a nearly 20% year-on-year revenue surge, leading the group in growth. With companies like Din Tai Fung and others also reporting steady gains, the sector continues to demonstrate strong operational resilience and market demand.
