Garment manufacturer Makalot reported a 24% year-over-year revenue increase for September, driven by strong demand from major US and Japanese clients.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Makalot Industrial reported September revenue of NT$2.931 billion, a 24% year-over-year increase, bringing Q3 revenue to a six-quarter high of NT$9.484 billion. Cumulative revenue for the first nine months reached NT$26.547 billion, marking a steady recovery in overall operations.
Logistics Impact: Due to peak season shipping congestion ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas, approximately NT$70-80 million in shipments were deferred to October. The company expects the transition to spring/summer sports apparel production to improve product mix and profitability in the coming quarter.
Product Strategy: Analysts anticipate a mid-single-digit percentage increase in average selling prices (ASP) this quarter, supported by selective order acceptance and raw material cost pass-throughs. The shift toward a higher proportion of sports-related products is expected to further enhance margins.
Outlook: Management remains optimistic about year-over-year revenue growth for Q4, though shipping schedules remain a key variable for timely delivery. The company continues to focus on optimizing its product portfolio to sustain momentum through the end of the year.
