Semiconductor analysis firm MA-tek is ramping up its silicon photonics and AI testing capabilities, with plans to ship new equipment by year-end and strong growth forecasts through 2027.

What Happened

Operational Outlook: MA-tek Chairman Liu Chi-lun announced that the company is hitting new revenue records in August, driven by growth in AI and advanced process node analysis. The company remains optimistic about its 2027 outlook, with the first quarter of next year potentially marking a new profit peak.

Silicon Photonics Strategy: The company has developed proprietary optical loss measurement equipment, which is set for client trials in September. MA-tek aims to ship two to three units by year-end and is currently negotiating patent licensing and joint development with several international industry leaders.

AI Market Expansion: Demand for MA-tek’s AI-focused testing zones is accelerating, with the third phase already contributing to revenue. The company is actively planning for the fourth and fifth phases to accommodate the rapid influx of research and development projects from major AI clients.

Global Footprint: International business now accounts for over 33% of monthly revenue, up from 20% last year. The company has successfully upgraded its Shanghai office to a full-scale facility, with continued expansion efforts in the U.S., Japan, and China to meet global demand for material analysis.
