Shares of Lightel and Alloptronics rallied after reporting robust financial results, fueled by surging demand for AI data center optical modules.

What Happened

Cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year reached NT$9.244 billion, up 42.6% compared to the previous year.

Profitability Surge: Alloptronics (4908-TW) reported a 140% year-over-year increase in July profit, reaching NT$24 million with an EPS of NT$0.31. For the first half of the year, the company achieved a net profit of NT$111 million, a 59.57% increase, resulting in an EPS of NT$1.42.

Market Drivers: Analysts attribute the growth to the strong demand for high-speed optical transmission products driven by AI data center expansion. Lightel is further diversifying its portfolio by expanding into RF and high-frequency connector applications alongside its core optical business.

Technological Outlook: Alloptronics is advancing its AI high-speed communication strategy, with its CW laser Chip on Carrier (CoC) production line expected to be completed by the end of Q3. The mass production of silicon photonics switches using CPO technology by Nvidia is expected to trigger a significant spike in demand for critical optical components.
