7881

Koming (7881-TW) reported a 15.45% year-on-year revenue increase for August, fueled by strong demand for cataract surgical equipment and premium intraocular lenses.

What Happened

Revenue Performance: Koming (7881-TW) announced August revenue of NT$54.43 million, marking a 15.45% increase compared to the same period last year. For the first eight months of the year, cumulative revenue reached NT$509 million, reflecting an 8.11% year-on-year growth.

Equipment Momentum: The company’s femtosecond cataract equipment continues to gain market share, currently holding approximately 46% of the market. With the Z8 equipment now installed within the Veterans General Hospital system, management expects installation volumes to rise further in September.

Product Strategy: Demand for intraocular lenses remains robust, particularly for the HOYA trifocal lens, which has significantly boosted the company's average selling price. A new short-extended depth-of-focus lens is scheduled for launch in October, expected to serve as a key growth catalyst.

Market Outlook: Chairman Jiang Jinxian noted that the company's business model, which combines equipment leasing with consumable sales, has successfully driven surgical volume. With the peak season for cataract surgeries approaching, the company remains optimistic about sustained demand for its medical devices and consumables.
