Semiconductor testing interface provider Yongzhi Tech announced its August financial results, showing a 22% year-over-year profit decline despite strong revenue growth, as the company pivots toward AI and silicon photonics.
What Happened
August Financial Performance: Semiconductor testing interface manufacturer Yongzhi Tech reported an August net profit of NT$35 million, representing a 22% year-over-year decline, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching NT$1.3. Although monthly revenue grew by 25% to NT$233 million, pre-tax profit fell by 11% compared to the same period last year.
Second Quarter Review: The company demonstrated strong performance in the second quarter, with revenue hitting NT$652 million and net profit surging to NT$164 million, resulting in an EPS of NT$6.01. Profitability metrics improved significantly, with gross margin reaching 50.8% and operating margin at 30.4%.
AI and Advanced Tech Strategy: Looking ahead, Yongzhi is aggressively targeting the AI testing market, with new ASIC projects expected to contribute to revenue starting in the second half of the year. The company has already shipped silicon photonics-related probe cards to U.S.-based clients, positioning itself for long-term technological expansion.
Capacity Expansion: To meet rising demand for AI, ASIC, and advanced packaging testing, Yongzhi plans to increase its total production capacity by at least 50% this year. The company continues to scale its high-end probe card manufacturing, aiming to increase the revenue contribution from front-end probe cards as a key growth driver.
