WT Microelectronics achieved record-breaking revenue and profit in Q2, fueled by strong AI demand and recovery in automotive and industrial sectors.
What Happened
Record Financials: WT Microelectronics reported a record-breaking second quarter with consolidated revenue of NT$590.7 billion and net profit of NT$9.71 billion. Earnings per share reached NT$7.68, bringing the cumulative EPS for the first half of the year to NT$13.
Growth Drivers: The robust performance was primarily driven by sustained demand for AI-related technologies, the integration of Future Electronics, and a recovery in the industrial and automotive sectors. The company saw a 114% year-over-year increase in revenue for the first half of the year.
Q3 Outlook: For the third quarter, the company projects a median revenue of NT$592 billion and a median net profit of NT$10.17 billion, with an estimated EPS of NT$8.03. These projections are based on an exchange rate assumption of 32.2 New Taiwan Dollars per US Dollar.
Market Outlook: Management remains optimistic about the second half of the year and 2025, citing continued capital expenditure growth from CSPs and AI hyperscalers. Furthermore, indicators such as the B/B ratio in non-AI segments suggest a steady recovery in industrial and automotive markets.
