Precision automation leader TOYO reported an 89% year-on-year surge in August revenue, driven by strategic partnerships and new CPO technology development.

What Happened

Revenue Performance: Precision transmission and automation equipment manufacturer TOYO announced its August consolidated revenue reached NT$308 million, marking an 89.1% year-on-year increase and a new monthly record. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$2.029 billion, a 47.6% increase, reflecting strong operational momentum.

Strategic Alliance: To capture opportunities in Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), TOYO has formed a strategic alliance with Japanese firm Suruga Seiki, a leader in CPO coupling alignment platforms. Chairman Lin Tsung-te noted that this partnership aims to provide customers with a broader range of high-precision solutions.

R&D Progress: Beyond external partnerships, TOYO is developing its own six-degree-of-freedom optical coupling alignment platform, which is currently undergoing final testing at client sites. The company expects to begin volume production of this proprietary technology early next year.

Future Outlook: While CPO-related revenue currently accounts for less than 5% of total sales, TOYO expects a significant contribution next year as client verification processes conclude. The company aims to increase this segment's revenue share to 10% as it deepens its footprint in the advanced optical packaging supply chain.
