IPO and Market Debut: Star Power, a subsidiary of HD Renewable Energy, is set to list on Taiwan's Emerging Stock Market this December, with plans to transition to a full stock exchange listing by November next year. Established in 2020, the company specializes in power trading, smart dispatching, and energy asset management, reporting a solid EPS of NT$2 for the first half of the year.
Green Energy Portfolio: The company has accumulated over 21 billion kWh in green power contracts and holds more than 400,000 renewable energy certificates. Its client base is heavily weighted toward the technology sector, with semiconductors and AI data centers accounting for 56% of its total business, underscoring its role in supporting high-tech sustainability goals.
AI-Driven Strategy: Chairman Chou Shih-chang describes the company as the "Uber of the energy sector," utilizing its "Power Bank" model and "Star Trade AI" platform to aggregate decentralized energy resources. By connecting solar, storage, and charging infrastructure, the company aims to optimize energy distribution and maximize trading efficiency across five major power markets.
Global Expansion Plans: Looking ahead, Star Power aims to supply over 1.2GW of wind and solar power by 2028 while aggressively expanding its energy storage capacity. The company is already deploying its AI technology in Japan and is preparing to launch proprietary optimization models in Australia by 2027 to manage the group's extensive international energy trading assets.
