Lian You Metal reported record-breaking August revenue, driven by soaring global tungsten prices and increased demand from the AI and semiconductor sectors.

What Happened

Record Revenue: Lian You Metal reported August revenue of NT$1.134 billion, an 852.6% year-on-year increase, reaching a new record. For the first half of the year, net profit surged 72.6 times to NT$1.471 billion, with earnings per share reaching NT$25.37.

Market Tailwinds: Driven by robust demand from AI, semiconductor, and solar industries, combined with China's export restrictions on tungsten, global prices have surged. This has significantly boosted the selling price and profitability of the company's flagship product, sodium tungstate.

Capacity Expansion: The Pingnan Phase II plant began production in July, expected to increase total sodium tungstate output by 20% to 30%. Further expansion is planned with the upcoming Pingnan Phase III and Pingke plants, which will continue to scale production capacity.

Supply Chain Opportunities: As global supply chains prioritize diversification away from China, Lian You Metal is well-positioned to capture orders from international clients. This competitive advantage is expected to provide a solid foundation for growth through the second half of the year and into next year.
