Semiconductor equipment maker Grand Process Technology reported record-breaking third-quarter revenue, with order visibility extending through 2030 due to high demand.
What Happened
Financial Results: Semiconductor equipment manufacturer Grand Process Technology announced that its September revenue reached NT$747 million, a 61.8% year-over-year increase. This performance propelled the company's third-quarter revenue to a record high of NT$2.221 billion, bringing the year-to-date total to NT$5.544 billion.
Global Expansion: To support business growth and enhance customer service, the company is establishing new subsidiaries in the United States and Singapore. The total investment for these two locations is approximately NT$100 million, aimed at bolstering local equipment maintenance and support capabilities.
Capacity Constraints: Despite ongoing efforts to expand production capacity, the company is struggling to keep up with surging demand. Management noted that current lead times for new orders already exceed one year, highlighting the intense market pressure.
Future Outlook: The company maintains a positive outlook, with management previously stating that second-half performance is expected to surpass the first half. Projections indicate that the robust order backlog will likely sustain high demand levels through 2030.
