Taiwan Index Plus and SinoPac Securities have partnered to facilitate ESG engagement between institutional investors and listed companies via a new digital platform.

What Happened

Launch of Joint Engagement Services: Taiwan Index Plus (TIP) and SinoPac Securities have partnered to bridge the gap between institutional investors and listed companies through a new joint engagement service. By combining TIP’s IR Engage platform with SinoPac’s deep ESG research, the initiative helps investors fulfill their stewardship responsibilities while improving corporate communication.

Platform Functionality Upgrades: TIP General Manager Pan Ching-hua highlighted that the upgraded IR Engage platform now integrates core functions including meeting matchmaking, ESG data, and investor conference management. This digital approach streamlines the process for both parties to initiate meetings and track engagement milestones, significantly reducing administrative barriers.

Focus on Green Revenue: During the inaugural sessions, institutional investors prioritized the topic of "green revenue," specifically focusing on compliance with the government's sustainable economic activity guidelines. Companies like TECO and Far Eastern New Century have begun disclosing their alignment with these standards, providing investors with clearer insights into their transition strategies.

Driving Sustainable Impact: The collaboration aims to establish a standardized, efficient workflow for ESG engagement, from agenda setting to follow-up tracking. By fostering long-term, constructive dialogues, the partners hope to leverage the influence of the financial sector to drive meaningful sustainable development across the corporate landscape.
