Semiconductor testing firm MA-tek posted a record-breaking August revenue of NT$565 million, driven by AI chip demand, with plans to launch US operations by 2027.
What Happened
Financial Performance: MA-tek reported August revenue of NT$565 million, marking a 17.78% year-over-year increase and the sixth consecutive month of record-high monthly revenue. The cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$4.196 billion, reflecting a 17.66% growth compared to the same period last year.
Growth Drivers: The company is benefiting from the surge in self-developed AI chips by North American CSPs, which has increased the complexity of advanced packaging. MA-tek’s expertise in FA and RA for architectures like CoWoS and EMIB has positioned it as a key partner for improving yield rates.
Global Strategy: MA-tek is aggressively expanding its international footprint, with a new lab in Hokkaido, Japan, launching in September and further plans for the Kanto and Tohoku regions. Additionally, the company has committed to establishing local testing services in the United States by 2027 to better serve its North American clients.
Future Outlook: As AI and advanced semiconductor manufacturing continue to evolve, MA-tek remains focused on its core R&D outsourcing services. By upgrading its internal systems and expanding its global laboratory network, the company aims to capture long-term growth opportunities in the AI semiconductor market.
