Inventec's revenue for the first eight months of the year reached a record high, driven by strong AI server shipments despite a slight dip in laptop volume.
What Happened
Revenue Performance: Inventec reported August consolidated revenue of NT$83.267 billion, a 35.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$643.625 billion, marking a 40.1% year-on-year growth and a new historical record.
AI Server Momentum: Analysts expect Inventec’s performance to grow quarter-over-quarter in the second half of the year, fueled by aggressive AI server shipments. This segment is seen as the primary driver for the company's record-breaking annual performance.
Laptop Shipments: Laptop shipments in August totaled approximately 1.5 million units, down 6.3% monthly and 16.7% annually. The company noted that early inventory stocking by clients in the first half of the year has tempered recent shipment volumes.
Future Outlook: While the laptop market remains steady, Inventec's strategic pivot toward AI servers is successfully offsetting fluctuations in consumer electronics. The market remains optimistic that the company will maintain its strong revenue trajectory for the remainder of the year.
