Record Revenue Growth: GMT Global reported a record-breaking August consolidated revenue of NT$220 million, marking a 10% monthly increase and a 337.8% year-over-year surge. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months reached NT$1.123 billion, reflecting a significant operational turnaround and robust growth momentum.
Strategic Market Entry: The company has successfully pivoted into the silicon photonics, CPO, and AI high-speed transmission sectors, with optical communication products accounting for 79% of its first-half revenue. With order visibility extending into the second quarter of next year, management expects a steady improvement in performance throughout the second half.
Capacity Expansion and IPO Plans: To meet surging demand, GMT Global is investing NT$70 million to acquire a majority stake in an optical and medical equipment manufacturer, alongside plans to establish a new assembly plant in Thailand. The company is also preparing to transition from the Emerging Stock Board to a formal OTC listing by the end of 2025.
Technological Edge: GMT Global distinguishes itself through its end-to-end manufacturing capabilities, from individual components to complete modules, supported by proprietary algorithms and automation software. The company has secured partnerships with major equipment manufacturers and is actively expanding its footprint in the wafer-level optical inspection market.
