Wistron's August revenue surged to a record high, supported by AI server demand, as the company commits $209 million to expand production facilities in the US and Vietnam.

What Happened

Record-Breaking Revenue: Wistron posted August revenue of NT$460.65 billion, a year-on-year increase of over 100%, bringing the year-to-date total to NT$2.51 trillion. While PC shipments declined, robust growth in AI server business served as the primary driver for the record performance.

Overseas Expansion: The board approved investments totaling approximately $209 million to expand server production capacity in Texas, USA, and Vietnam. These investments are strategically aimed at supporting long-term business growth and enhancing after-sales service capabilities.

Shipment Outlook: With shipments of NVIDIA's new Vera Rubin platform underway, Wistron expects AI-related revenue to grow sequentially, peaking in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, general-purpose server demand is expected to remain stable throughout the year.

Administrative Changes: To enhance shareholder services, Wistron announced that it will outsource its stock administration operations to Yuanta Securities starting January 1, 2027, aiming to streamline internal processes.
