SOUN Aug 13 2026 profit-taking plan
Post-earnings impulse is retracing above the $7.05–$7.10 support area, but price remains below the first supply shelf at $7.80. Scale profit rather than assume a full recovery: trim into $7.80 and retain a smaller runner only if it can reclaim that level. The next visible objective is the Aug. 6 earnings high near $8.75; a daily close below $7.05 invalidates the hold.

Analysis
SOUN — daily swing plan as of Aug. 13, 2026
Last charted price: ~$7.35 vs. your $7.28 entry. The post-earnings move is still constructive, but price is sitting just below a meaningful supply area—not a spot to assume an immediate breakout.
- Take-profit 1: $7.75–$7.85. This is the first prior-supply/retest zone. Consider selling 25–50% there, especially if the 1-hour chart stalls or rejects.
- Take-profit 2: $8.60–$8.75. This is the Aug. earnings-spike high and the main runner target. It likely needs a clean reclaim and hold above $7.80 first.
- Protective stop / invalidation: $7.05 on a daily closing basis. A loss of $7.10–$7.05 would undercut near-term post-earnings support and argues for protecting capital rather than waiting.
- Trailing-stop plan: If SOUN closes above $7.80, raise the stop on the remainder to at least breakeven ($7.28). Thereafter, trail it under the prior two daily lows, or roughly $0.45–$0.50 (one daily ATR) below the highest daily close—whichever is tighter without being inside normal noise.
Read: Daily RSI (~58) and MACD remain positive, but intraday momentum is only neutral after the earnings spike. Q2 results were strong (record revenue and raised outlook), yet the stock remains volatile and still has overhead resistance. Treat $7.80 as the decision point: acceptance above it supports holding a smaller runner toward $8.75; rejection favors taking the easier gain.
