Timefolio Asset Management's China AI Tech Active ETF has secured the top spot in one-year returns among all Greater China-focused ETFs listed in Korea.
What Happened
Top Performance: Timefolio Asset Management announced that its 'TIME China AI Tech Active ETF' achieved a 59.98% return over the past year, ranking first among 57 Greater China-focused ETFs listed in Korea. Since its inception in May last year, the fund has accumulated a total return of 81.99% with net assets reaching 335.3 billion KRW.
Investment Strategy: The fund manager attributes this success to a selective strategy that targets structurally growing industries within the Greater China market rather than treating it as a single homogeneous region. By focusing on key beneficiaries of AI infrastructure and adoption, the fund maintains a flexible portfolio allocation.
Key Holdings: As of the latest data, the ETF's primary holdings include Z.AI, Elite Material, Zhongji Innolight, and Nanya Technology. These companies were selected for their direct exposure to the burgeoning AI industry, which is currently seeing a surge in both infrastructure investment and actual usage.
Future Outlook: Timefolio plans to continue focusing on high-growth opportunities within the AI sector rather than broader market trends in the Greater China region. The firm believes the Chinese AI industry is entering a significant growth phase and aims to capitalize on this momentum for its investors.
