Kwangju Bank has introduced a new savings product offering up to 4.7% interest to celebrate the launch of the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City.

What Happened

Product Launch: Kwangju Bank has released the 'Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City Love Installment Savings' account to commemorate the city's integration and promote local hometown donations. The product is available to individuals aged 14 and older.

Interest Rates: The savings account offers a base rate of 2.7%, with additional preferential rates of 0.5% for the city's integration and up to 1.5% for participating in hometown donation programs, totaling a maximum of 4.7% APY.

Promotional Event: To celebrate its 58th anniversary and the city's integration, the bank is running a promotional event until October 30. Customers who sign up via non-face-to-face channels will be entered into a draw for digital gift vouchers.

Strategic Intent: Kwangju Bank's CEO stated that the product was designed to help customers integrate their love for their hometown into their daily financial habits, following the success of previous related deposit products.
